Are you receiving the correct Holy Fire III Reiki training according to the ICRT guidelines? The Holy Fire III energy was developed by William Rand at the International Centre for Reiki Training.

There are specific guidelines that every ICRT teacher (affiliate or licensed) must follow to ensure each student is given all the necessary knowledge and receives the highest energy activations and healing experiences possible. It is frustrating to see a student who has not been given the proper instruction or integration period by their teacher(s). It is a disservice to the student, to the sacredness of Holy Fire III energy, and to the Light Beings that guide the Holy Fire energy. Not only will the student not have been given the opportunity to fully experience and appreciate the true nature and power of the Holy Fire, but certificates from these classes will not likely be acknowledged by ICRT. Or they may not be acknowledged by another teacher as a prerequisite to further training.

This can be very upsetting to students who have invested significant amounts of money and time in their training in hopes of becoming professional practitioners or teachers. Many of them having to retake their courses again.

To determine whether a class or teacher is right for you, I invite you to consider asking these questions before hand:

• Where did you receive your training? Is your teaching certification recognized by ICRT?

• How long have you been working with Reiki?

• How do you personally use it?

• How long have you been teaching?

• What do you cover in your classes and is it in accordance with the course outlines of ICRT?

• Is your class online or in person? (Live instruction only is permitted either in-person or online. No pre-recorded material is allowed in class.)

• How long are your classes? (Level 1 and 2 must be no less than 8 hours each of live instruction and Master/Teacher no less than 24 hours)

• Do you allow for integration time between levels? (6 months is required between Level 2 and Master/Teacher to allow for integration and development as a Reiki channel)

• What manual is given in class? (At the Master/Teacher level only ICRT manuals are permitted.)

• Once class is over, will you continue to support me in being a successful Reiki Practitioner or Master? (not a requirement but I believe every good teacher will leave their door open to provide support and encouragement for as long as it is needed by the student – even if that means ten years down the road!)

Bring awareness to how you feel when they answer these questions and throughout the conversation. You will know in your heart whether they are the right teacher for you. Always trust your instincts!
